Transfer from the airports
Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio: how to reach Piazza Duomo without surprises on timing.
From Malpensa
The Malpensa Express connects directly to Cadorna or Milano Centrale in about 50 minutes, departing every 30 minutes. Alternative: a shuttle bus to Milano Centrale, cheaper but with less predictable timing in traffic.
From Linate
The closest to the centre: a city bus to San Babila (a 15-minute walk from the Duomo) takes about 25 minutes, or a private door-to-door transfer takes 30-40 minutes.
From Orio al Serio (Bergamo)
The furthest of the three: a direct bus to Milano Centrale takes about 50-60 minutes. Allow extra margin if your flight is low-cost with an evening arrival.
Current exhibitions at the Royal Palace
The exhibition programme changes every few months, with modern and contemporary art retrospectives steps from the Duomo.
